The World Doesn’t Stand Still While Sort Yourself Out! Unfortunately!

Imagine how simplified business could be if we were able to stop the world around us moving and take the time out to plan properly, review what we are doing and modify accordingly, unfortunately that isn’t going to be the reality.

I have experienced companies who have stopped everything until their plan is complete and refined.

They then discover that the market has moved significantly or that their competition has moved forward and they have been left behind! I have also experienced companies who have ploughed on regardless without any real plan or structure, and find they have gone off in a direction they didn’t want to get to.

The Growth Academy work with our clients to run the planning in parallel to practical and achievable activities.  We have plans in place for weekly, monthly, three monthly and six monthly reviews, and we consistently review and refine, we are always making forward progress but ensuring we aren’t getting ahead of ourselves or standing still too long.

It isn’t easy and at times we have to miss opportunities as we aren’t ready or we have to move with things before we are quite ready but we get a lot more right then we get wrong.

The Growth Academy www.thegrowthacademy.com works with our clients to ensure that they are always on top of their plan for growth and that they are getting the right support to achieve their goals even while the world moves around them. By attending our sessions and being accountable to the group they achieve their short term goals which in turn takes them closer to their long term objectives. The key thing is that the sessions are about them and where they wish to be, not where we want to push them.

Thanks for mentioning as a planning and people management tool. The key to success is the chance to regulary review with peers or outsiders, and finding a pattern that works well. It's all too easy to get caught up in the day-to-day and lose the ability to see the wood for the trees!
